We have taken a few days to reflect on last weekend's events, and are finally able to do a bit of a roundup. Before we say anything else, we have to say thank you to a large number of people.
To our fantastic Volunteers - the Yarn Crawl would not happen without you, and the Marketplace would have run much less smoothly if you weren't there to help. We are supremely lucky to have had all of you give us your time and energy, so thank you, thank you, thank you.
To the shops: thank you once again for coming on board for this crazy event, and for making all the Yarn Crawlers feel welcome. Thank you for providing tea and cake and discounts and extra goodies that all help make the day such a special one.
To our sponsors, of whom there were many: thank you for generously donating door prizes, goodie bag treats and for helping us spread the word. Particular thanks to media sponsor, Pom Pom Quarterly, GLYC Kick-Off Party sponsor Loop, goodie bag sponsor Rowan/Coats and Interweave, for their sponsorship of the Kate Atherley workshops.
To the vendors: thank you for taking a chance on us and showing us your support. Thank you for bringing such a phenomenal array of beauty to Chelsea Old Town Hall and for making the things that you do - you are all an inspiration!
And thanks to everyone who came to the weekend's events, everyone who brought donations for Knit for Peace, and everyone who bought a raffle ticket. Thanks to you, we are able to donate more then 140 items of knitwear, plus yarn and needles, to Knit for Peace, and £1302 to Refuge. We don't think it is too over the top to say that what you all have contributed over the weekend will change people's lives. Thank you so very much.
Until next time,
Allison & Rachel
