Yarnporium vendor highlights: Kettle Yarn Co. and Midwinter Yarns

As the Yarnporium draws closer we thought it would be fun to highlight some of the fabulous things that our vendors will be bringing to tempt you all! With Yarnporium weekend also the first weekend of Wovember our first post features some woolly awesome-ness!

First up is Kettle Yarn Co. who have just launched their brand new yarn Baskerville DARK (now with more Gotland!).

Mmm... rustic Gotland goodness with Kettle Yarn Co.'s new Baskerville DARK

This is Kettle Yarn Co.'s exclusive, small-batch British yarn made up of Exmoor Blueface wool, Gotland wool, and a hint of silk. Like it's predecessor Baskerville, the Baskerville Dark is a fingering weight yarn but contains more Gotland than the original. The result is slightly more rustic and less lofty than the original Baskerville but plays up the Gotland's unique velvet handle while remaining gentle to the skin.

For a little bit of added fun, Kettle Yarn Co. are offering 10% off skeins of Baskerville Dark to the first 10 customers who use the secret codeword GOTLAND FOREVER.

Next up are Midwinter Yarns who have been specialising in introducing beautiful yarns from Scandinavian countries to the UK for the last few years. Their latest offering is a real treat: Suomivilla Finnish wool in a squishy Aran weight for quick, warm knits.

The Suomivilla wool comes in five natural shades and one marled colourway. When we first heard about this yarn we immediately thought how perfect it would be for Donna Smith's Baa-ble Hat. We were delighted to hear that Midwinter Yarns have created kits for the hats, and that they'll be bringing them to the Yarnporium!
