Entering Country Threads is a bit like walking into an Aladdin's Cave of quilting inspiration. A dedicated quilting and patchwork shop, located just across the street from Road Trip Shop Wool in central Bath, this shop packs in a vast array of fabrics, tools, books, waddings and threads in to not very much space.
The main room of the shop is a glorious display of different fabrics, including Alexander Henry, Moda, Makower/Androver Fabrics and some of the Rowan/Kaffe Fasset collection. They've got some gorgeous Moda Jelly Rolls (which Rachel greedily snapped up for Christmas presents when we visited at the beginning of November).
Once you've taken in all the goodies in the front room, don't forget to sneak down the teensy hallway to the back room, which has more glorious colours and textures on display. In addition to fabrics, they carry patchwork patterns, as well as some patterns from Amy Butler. And let's not forget the gorgeous array of ribbons and other haberdashery that's available!
We're really excited to share this gem with all of you - this is our first pure fabric store that we've included in a Yarn in the City expedition, and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we have! Tickets are still available if you'd like to join us - get tickets for the round trip from London here or from Bath here.
