Our next vendor profile is making a big trek from Edinburgh all the way to London! Jess from Ginger Twist Studios is bringing her wonderful and brilliantly hand-dyed yarns - with a special focus just for the Pop-Up Marketplace.
The Yarn in the City Pop-Up Marketplace will feature fabulous indie makers, dyers and designers from across the UK. Tell us about your company and specialty. What are you best known for?
Ginger Twist Studio is a wee independent gem of a shop located in Edinburgh, Scotland. Jess, the owner, also has her own range of luxury hand dyed in a wide variety of weights and fibres. She is known for her bright and funky shades, as well as more subtle vintage inspired tones.
Space is at a premium in the Pop-Up Marketplace so we've asked vendors to bring their "best of the best" - what wares will you have to tempt visitors?
This year's GLYC is going to be all about Sock Anatomy by Clare Devine. We will be doing exclusive Sock Anatomy kits with Ginger's Hand Dyed. Come check out the samples!
Can you tell us about the making/designing/collaborating/or other process involved in your business?
Ginger Twist Studio loves collaborating! Jess runs the Indie Burgh Yarn Crawl, and is very fond of working with designer Clare Devine and others.
What is your absolute favourite thing about running your business?
I love that I can come to work and be surrounded by stunning rainbows of yarn.
Tell us the funniest thing that has ever happened to you while you've been running your company, or while you've been at a yarn show or festival!
There is generally always something to laugh about.
