Itinerary: What you can expect
10:30-11:00 - Meet up with Rachel and Allison at the Brighton train station.
11:15 - We head into the famous Brighton Lanes. Please note that this is a walking tour so make sure you're wearing comfy shoes!
11:30 - We make our first stop at Brighton Sewing Centre - a bright shop filled with fabric for quilting and sewing, and some great haberdashery and trims too.
12:30 - Our second stop is at the delightful Ditto Fabrics. Ditto Fabrics focuses more on fabric for dressmaking and they've got a wide variety for you to choose from.
There will also be time to explore some of the Lanes' wonderful shops filled with curios, antiques and vintage finds - we're there to enjoy the day!
14:00 - After grabbing some lunch to go for those who choose not to bring their own, we'll find a space with some sun and shade in the Pavilion Gardens in view of the Brighton Dome to dine al fresco and have a bit of knitting time (or crochet or spinning or whatever!).
There's plenty of time in the afternoon to wander down to the beach or the famous Brighton Pier, or explore more of the Lanes - whatever you fancy!
16:30 - We meet back up at our final stop for the day - YAK. YAK is Brighton's premier yarn shop and all kinds of goodies await us!
We'll draw for the door prizes at YAK, enjoy some more knitting and make our way across the street to the local pub for a pint as the day wraps up.
The brighton knit and make social and mini crawl
Ever since Unwind Brighton last year and the opening of YAK's new shop earlier this year, we've been dying to get back to Brighton any chance we can get! There's such a great maker spirit happening in Brighton and we'd like to invite you to come with us on a mini crawl to soak up all that creativity.
We've arranged for discounts in the shops for our guests and have some very generous door prizes from Erika Knight, Lioness Arts, The Uncommon Thread and Yellow Bear Wares.
So pack a picnic, your sunnies and your favourite portable project and plan to meet us for a laid back day out in Brighton:
