We're thrilled to have the following knitting designers join us for a special mini-trunk show over the course of the day. Think of the Indie Designer Spotlight as a pop-up within the Pop-Up Marketplace! Here is the schedule for the Indie Designer Spotlight:

12:00 - 12:45   BOO KNITS

Boo Knits is an English knitter and designer of shawls and compulsive collector of yarn. Her personal motto is 'Maximum Impact With Minimum Stress'. With this in mind, her patterns are quick to knit, easy to knit and yet look as though they really must be much more complicated. Really - they are not complicate or difficult at all!

13:00 - 13:45   KATE ATHERLEY

Possessed of small feet, cold hands and an inclination towards mathematics and practicality, Kate is all about socks and warming accessories that accommodate a broad range of sizes and wintery climates. Her latest book, Custom Socks: Knit to Fit Your Feet shares her secrets for well-fitted socks for all sizes and shapes of feet. She's also rather fond of a sock -yarn shawl.

Louise loves designing accessories that will show off the colours in your yarn. And she loves giving you options so that you can make your project your own. Louise believes patterns should be clearly written and a pleasure to knit. Louise has her first book due out in late September, so she'll be giving us a sneak preview of what's inside, and taking pre-orders.

After studying history of art in her hometown of Seattle, Renée followed her heart to the UK and took a place at Central Saint Martins College to study fashion design with knitwear. She loves textiles and the technical challenge of knitting and finds real joy in producing something both useful and beautiful. Renée is constantly creating new patterns and combinations of texture and colour She loves to see new knitters taking to the needles and teaches a range of hand and machine knitting classes.
